Description
This was a belated birthday gift to of our twin Aztec gods Xochipilli and Xochiquetzal
The twins represent festivities, agriculture and fertility in Aztec mythos and were held in high regards. Even in Mixcoatl, Xochiquetzal was the mother of the serpent deity Quetzalcoatl.
Also Xochipilli is symbolized with flowers ("Flower Prince") and Xochiquetzal is symbolized with butterflies (or birds, depending on the codex)
I got a bit of free range to color Quetzi since Tick didn't have a legit color palette for her outfit so I had a hell of a fun time coloring her. The only thing that gave me a lot of trouble was her head piece, but I used a bird of paradise to give me a good idea for color direction.
